Challenge Summary

The interface looks clean, but users still feel lost.
The client has removed almost everything visual, trying to be “minimal,” but users are unsure where to click or what to do next. There’s not enough hierarchy, guidance, or cues, despite the elegant aesthetic.

Hear The People

Insights from users, clients, and stakeholders that shaped the experience.

The User says

I couldn’t tell if the page had loaded or if I was supposed to tap something. It looks sleek, but I had no idea where to go next or what the app even does.

The Client says

We wanted a clean and modern look, so we removed all borders, labels, and shadows. But now users are saying it’s “too empty,” and we don’t understand what went wrong.

Company Constraints

The design must keep a minimal aesthetic with no images or illustrations. All UI must use a maximum of two fonts and retain a flat design (no shadows or gradients allowed).
